99. The FROST Event and FATEwear new releases

I thought I'd wish everyone a "Happy Day Before the End of the World!".  Sounds so festive and celebratory...no?  Ok, yeah I might have my doubts, but I also have a basement with a load of bottled water and Christmas cookies.  I'm good either way.

I've been spending some time running around SL lately with the lovely and talented Lavindia Jewell Fox as she dragged me through The Frost Event against my will...to start.  But, then I started shopping and ditched her.  Ok, I didn't ditch her, I knew she was still on the sim someplace.

So, in the end, I've teamed up some of my great finds from the The Frost Event with some of the great new releases from FATEwear.  These great knit gloves, and socks come in either solids or stripes and go perfect with the striped scarves that were just released by FATEwear and are perfect for finishing off that warm and cozy winter look.

98. Together For Sway.

Hey Folks!

I hope you are all doing well at this busy time of the year!  As you may have noticed, I've been taking a break, but had to pop back on to bring something of importance to your attention.

If there was ever a time of the year to show a generosity of spirit, it would have to be now.  And, so, when I became aware of Sway Dench's plight, I knew I had to take the time to make a post.  It's the least I could do to sit down and hopefully do a bit to help out.

Together For Sway is an event that will be running from December 15th to the 31st to raise funds to help out Sway while she focuses on what is truly important...her health and recovery after she has a brain tumor removed in the new year.  All of the money earned at the event will go to help her and you know you want to shop...why not shop and feel great about helping someone who could use a hand?

Damien Fate has created this awesome shirt called Sidney in a range of colours as his contribution to helping out his friend, Sway.  I teamed the forest version of the Sidney shirt up with the volanco version of the Harry scarf and I have to say that I feel warm and ready for the season.

Here's a glimpse at the full range of colours available to you at the Together For Sway event:

Also, my sweet and very talented friend Zinnia has contributed one of her beautiful creations to this cause.  This perfectly feminine phone table would be a stand out accent for any of you retro glam ladies out there...please, go check it out!

Ok, just one landmark today!  Get on over to Together For Sway.

96. Limited Edition Halloween Designs by FATEwear

Sometimes, you just know when it's time to book it!  LOL.  Ok, I had some fun playing with the Hai shirt and tie from FATEwear for Hallowe'en along with "Murderer's Coat" from Zinnia.  The warm and friendly looking guy in the frame?  Oh, that's a secret for later...

FATEwear has reworked some of their great designs in celebration of Halloween.  But, they are Limited Editions, so you better check them out before they're gone.  The five designs are available in a bundle or individually.

RUN!!!...over to FATEwear and check out all the great Hallowe'en Limited Editions and don't forget to take a stab at getting the "Murderer's Coat" from Zinnia's...it's a free group gift! :)  She won't even make you say "Trick or Treat!".

93. Get Ready For Hallowe'en.

FATEwear has just released two great pieces aimed to make your Hallowe'en awesome!  The Desmond Coat that I'm featuring here today and the Rob Suit (perfect for the zombie look...or hangovers).  The Desmond Coat is inspired Assassin's Creed and comes in seven colours.

The jacket comes with a separate hood in two size variations and is well tailored to the standard sizes for mesh.  Although it's targeted for Hallowe'en, this jacket would be great for role playing or just getting noticed on the streets of SL.

91. New Hoodies from FATEwear!

Ok, let's start this one out with a big ol' "Happy Thanksgiving" to all my fellow Canadians out there!  I hope you got stuffed with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams....  Oh yeah, and I hope you had time to reflect and be thankful for those things you cherish in your life.

I know one thing that I'm thankful for in SL: Damien Fate is one hard worker!  He's just released a couple new hoodies at FATEwear.  You have your pick of solid (Slim) or multi-coloured (Marshall).  They come in FATEwears rich palette of hues and even include a tee for underneath.

Now, here's the thing.  Do you want to go all stylish or head off in the athletic direction?  Above I've teamed the Slim hoodie with a scarf to match the stitching of my embroidered jeans from Egoisme.  And below, I've gone straight forward with the Marhsall hoodie and FATEwear's Jimmy pants to hit the treadmill (Which is probably the best idea with all the turkey I've eaten...and pie...oh, the pie!).

Oh, and a side note kiddies: Boystown is giving away free pumpkins.  You can't beat that if you are trying to decorate on a budget!  So, pop over and check out the cemetery and pick up some pumpkins.  They are great for pie.  Oh...my stomach!

90. In The Trench.

I'm back with more FATEwear from their recent new releases.  It's that time of the year.  The beautiful colours of fall return with the almost forgotten chill of the autumn air.  Well, we all know that means it's time to bundle up or be tough and freeze  your ass off.  I don't know about you, but I'm too old to be tough: I opt for bundling up!  And we all want to do that in style, right?

FATEwear has the perfect coat to take you from the busy city to a country stroll in class.  This handsome trench styled coat is cinched at the waist and casually tied off.  The workmanship in this piece is all that you'd expect from FATEwear.  The detailing and refinement of the mesh exhibit a true understanding of how material would play in the real world.  The coat comes in a range of colours: desert, london, tundra, ocean, void, and volcano.

I've paired up the Roy pants with his jacket.  The casual yet tailored fit of the pants finishes off this clean look perfectly.  And the subtle detail of the striping in the material is enough to create some interest and texture.

Guys! Get over to FATEwear and grab some demos! :)

88. FATEwear 2.0

FATEwear hasn't been open that long, but we are already being treated to a new round of amazing creations.  I have a bunch of things to show you, so this is going to be broken into a couple posts again.

Above is the Dean Jacket in Volcano. And it sure is hot!  The styling is perfect for these coming autumn day. Half zipped with the fabric draped casual and realistically against your chest and the detailing of the straps and snaps.  This jacket is full of interest and comes in a range of colours and you can wear it with or without includes shirts.

The newly released turtleneck sweater Sheldon has a warm and cosy look while staying clean and stylish. It's straight forward restrained design is complimented by the rich detail in texturing of the fabric and shadows.  Perfect to pair with your jeans, slacks or leathers.

84. Embrace Your Fate...

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

So, I'm back with some more great stuff from FATEwear today.  I've shown you a couple casual looks and a couple more formal looks in my last post.  This time I've decided to go in the middle ground.  I've even worked in my favourite colour: red!  Or, to be specific Volcano.

Check out the detail in the fabric texture!
FATEwear has a great palette of colours and Damien has even gone out of his way to name the shades.  You won't find white, green or black at FATEwear.  Oh no, you get forest, tundra and void!

I've combined the untucked Hei volcano shirt (tundra tie included) with the tundra pants from the Smith Suit outfit.  This goes against the rule of thumb for FATEwear as anything with the same name is made to fit together.  For example, if a shirt is named Jimmy and pants are named Jimmy.  Those two pieces will fit together perfectly.  But, as you can see here, don't be afraid to mix and match.  Although these designs have different names, they still work together well and look amazing together.

Lastly, check out my awesome new chair that I picked up at faMESHed this month!  It rocks, right? I love these classic designs come to the grid.  Would have liked the leather to be a bit more detailed and it seems the poses are more geared to female AVs.  But, all the same, I have it set up in my library and it looks great!

83. FATEwear.

Well, I just got a bit of excitement before heading to bed.  I was a runner up in the FATEwear photo contest! (http://blog.damienfate.com/).  I tend not to have such luck.  So, as you can only guess, my skybox has suddenly become a scene from a 5 year olds Christmas morning as I tore open all the boxes and bows.

Here's a the picture that did the trick featuring the free outfit from FATEwear just for joining their subscriber:

I was already looking forward to see this new men's store by Damien Fate to hit the grid since he had a hand in the successful and beloved women's store ColdLogic.  Well, from the items that I received as my price tonight, let me tell you, this store isn't going to disappoint!  Rich detailed textures and well fitted mesh abound in these designs!

It's late, so I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at some of the things that I received and get you hyped up for the grand opening tonight at midnight SLT.  Enjoy!
